We have a visitor!

Yes we do! It's Becky!! Emmett was very excited to see Becky today :) It's so nice to have another face to look at besides boring old mom!

This morning we had a monster towel for breakfast. NOM NOM NOM! Haha just kidding. I guess I put the high chair to close to the table... Mr sticky fingers... what can I say!

Yesterday we were sitting eating breakfast and I looked at him and said, "dear, you have a cheerio on your face." he cracked the biggest grin and I got the best picture ever! love it!

Peak-Aboo!

Yesterday was such a blast! Emmett is still feeling pretty crappy... but what a ham! He was so giggly and just all over the place. Here he's playing peak-aboo with Daisy, how sweet!!

They really love each other :)

BEEP BEEP! MAKE WAY! My birthday present is here!!! No I did not open it for him. He played with the box for a bit and I put it away. I would have given it to him but dad said no. *sigh* lol It's ok. No rushing his birthday from this mama!

 Have a great Sunday!

Ooops!

How could you say no to this face?! Let me tell ya, it ain't easy! Even when you tell him no he laughs at you. Yeah, I think he takes after his dad a bit.

So this next picture is why I love the PackNplay so much! He was entranced by the toy he was playing with so I thought I'd be safe to run and turn the dryer on. When I came back this is what I found. I couldn't stop laughing. He was having sooo much fun!

I have to say for a baby that can't breathe out of his nose he sure is happy! He really likes a good piggy back ride. Joe looks at me like I'm a crazy person as we run through the house making horse noises and bucking like a bronco. Hey, it makes Emmett laugh so I'll do it!

Mom's little helper

What a great little helper I have. Mr. Sticky fingers was banished to the PackNplay for a brief timeout this afternoon when he managed to sneak over and unplug the TV, not once, but twice. Before you gasp and say "A TIMEOUT!?" I mean contained play time so that mom can use the bathroom without fear the baby will pull the DVD player out and drop it on the floor... again. I never understood how on earth kids could get into so much mischief... I thought, "geez, don't their parents watch them!?" Well now that I've had my humble pie I can say that it is impossible to have your eyes glued to them 24-7. I can turn my back for 10 seconds (no joke 10 seconds!!) and he's on the other side of the room heading for my quilt rack(which he thinks is a jungle gym).
Here my little helper noticed that the floor needed to be swept under the rocking chair. What a good boy! So he pushed it across the room and untied the cushion. Notice the baby gate to the left. It is impossible to keep him out of his room. He grins from ear to ear when the idea pops into his cute little head. Within seconds Hurricane Emmett leaves a trail of shoes, books, and nuks scattered across the floor.

If looks could kill...
"The underside of the activity table is way more fun then all the bells and whistles on top! How dare you use my middle name to get my attention, GOSH MOM!"

My name is EMMETT

Today Emmett discovered his new favorite toy! A personalized puzzle bench from Grandpa and Grandma Gertz. When Joe was a wee lad he had one just like it.

Yesterday was his second hair cut! He did very well. I sat him by the front door and gave him a comb for each hand. That kept him happy while he watched the cars drive by.

Here's what happens when dad dresses us :)
Bad to the bone!

I still can't believe that he's 11 months already. This year has just flown by so far. Next week we have Becky coming to visit. Soon after the Sieverts' and the Gertz family will be here also. It's going to be a busy month!
